2. receptor n. 受體；接受器；感覺器官
These are the information receptors in our brain. 這些是我們大腦中的信息感受器。
3. reception n. 接待；接收；招待會；感受；反應
They gave the Prime Minister a cool reception.
他們對首相的接待很冷淡。
4. accept v. 接受；承認；承擔；承兌；容納
It's uncertain whether they will accept the plan.
他們會不會接受這項計劃現在還不清楚。
5. concept n. 觀念，概念
Ten years on, the original concept was wearing well.

6. conception n. 懷孕；概念；設想；開始
The plan was brilliant in its conception but failed because of lack of money.

7. conceive v. 懷孕；構思；以為；持有
She is unable to conceive.

8. perceive v. 察覺，感覺；理解；認知
Most blind people, even if they don't have any sight, are still able to perceive light.
大多數盲人，即使沒有任何視力，也能夠感知光。

She showed great perception in her assessment of the family situation.

10. deceive v. 欺騙；行騙

11. except v. 不計，把……除外；反對 prep. 除……之外 (多用于介詞)

13. exceptional adj. 異常的，例外的
This deadline will be extended only in exceptional circumstances.
只有在特殊情況下才會延長最后期限。
14. susceptible adj. 易受影響的；易感動的；容許……的
James was extremely susceptible to flattery.
詹姆斯非常容易受奉承話的影響。

2. acclaim v. 稱贊；為……喝彩，向……歡呼

3. proclaim v. 宣告，公布；聲明；表明；贊揚
The president proclaimed a state of emergency.
總統宣布了緊急狀態。
4. announce v. 宣布；述說；預示；播報
We are pleased to announce that all five candidates were successful.
我們高興地宣布，五位候選人全都當選了。
5. pronounce v. 發音；宣判；斷言
